Our Hangar

EAA Chapter 729’s hangar at KBAK serves as the heart of our chapter—a place where education, building projects, and community come together. This well-equipped workspace provides a hands-on learning environment where members and students collaborate on building and restoring aircraft, from experimental planes to restoration projects.

Beyond the workbenches and tools, our hangar is a gathering place for the aviation community. Whether we’re hosting pancake breakfasts, fly-in events, or simply sharing stories over coffee, the friendships formed here are as important as the skills we develop. It’s where seasoned pilots mentor young aviators, builders share hard-won wisdom, and aviation enthusiasts of all backgrounds connect over their shared passion for flight.
