We are a community of builders, pilots, and enthusiasts who collaborate, share knowledge, promote safety, and contribute to the local aviation ecosystem—while having a great time along the way.

Our chapter has earned EAA’s Gold Level Chapter Recognition, placing us among the most active and well-rounded chapters nationwide. This award highlights our strong leadership, consistent programming, member engagement, and dedication to fostering the next generation of aviators.

We encourage you to visit our next meeting or event and see firsthand what makes a Gold Level chapter special.

Youth Programs

The Young Eagles program, part of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), introduces young people ages 8-17 to the world of aviation by offering free introductory flights. Launched in 1992, the program is run by volunteer pilots who are passionate about sharing the joy of flight with the next generation. Each Young Eagles flight is more than just a ride; it’s a hands-on experience where kids can learn about airplanes, the basics of flight, and safety. Since its inception, the program has provided over two million young people with their first aviation experience, inspiring future pilots and aviation enthusiasts across the globe.

While Dana heads off to purchase shelving we’d like to offer some fatherly advice… get your order in now for 1000 clecos, and plan on a 1000 more at some time. New kit parents at times can be overwhelmed by these demands. When you see Dana, congratulate him, and if he tries to hand you a dogleg deburr tool….. RUN!!!
